CSU Research Flower Gardens

Grandpa came in to visit us and on Friday we went to Cheyenne and checked out the Botanical Gardens, Lions Park, and the old train station. It was actually in the 60s and we really weren't prepared for it but as the day went on it got a little warmer! I am sure that Matt would have enjoyed the weather especially with the heat and humidity he is enduring down in Alabama! :o)

Horsetooth Reservoir

Last Sunday we went to Horsetooth Reservoir which is on the west side of Fort Collins right along the mountains. It's really beautiful as you can tell....and the weather was in the lower 80s! We weren't sure if the water was going to be cold or not so we didn't put our bathing suits on....but it wasn't too bad once you got in! Next summer we are going to go there more often because Nicholas had a blast! It wasn't crowded when we got there in the morning but when we left close to noon all the picnic tables were full! I guess everyone else thought it was a good idea too! :o)
