Yesterday we went to the Harvest Farm Fall Festival in Wellington, CO (about 20 min north of Fort Collins) and enjoyed all of the activities they had to offer except for the corn shooter (when Nick gets a little older). They had a pumpkin patch, corn maze, petting zoo, barrel train ride, and some yummy kettle corn!! We had a great time!
Since I work for the ER Docs of Poudre Valley Health Systems, we have a contract with CSU to provide a doctor for each home game and they in turn give us 24 tickets to each game. So I put my name down for the Houston and TCU games. It was Nick's first live football game and he had no idea what was going on but he clapped when everyone else was clapping! :o)
Since it was mating season for Elk we took a drive into Rocky Mountain National Park and it didn't take long for us to find a group of them. I think we counted about 4 males with 80 females. And they make this high pitched sqweeling noise when protecting the herd! We also stopped at the Gateway which is a huge store with all kinds of stuff to buy and we grabbed a bite to eat in the restaurant next door.
