Fort Collins, Colorado

Back in Colorado again for the 4th of July....the temperatures were in the 90s but it was dry heat so it was so nice to get out of the Texas humidity for a while! Below are pictures of the city park in Fort Collins with a playground, choo choo train, and also a water park that I failed to get a picture of it! It was really cool!

Nicholas doesn't look happy but believe me he didn't want to get off!! He loved the choo choo train! On the 4th while waiting for the fireworks there was a little storm that blew through and left us with a rainbow...it was so pretty! Colorado has the most beautiful trees for scenery too! Although we were waiting for the fireworks Nick decided he was too tired and cranky to wait so we had to watch them from our hotel balcony!

The next few pictures are of Colorado State University and one of the most beautiful campuses I have ever seen! I think you will agree!

This is historic downtown Fort Collins.....It had a lot of really neat shops and our hotel was close enough that we could just walk there in 15 min which we did probably 3 times during our short trip! Good thing we brought the stroller!

This flower garden was also a part of CSU.....it was so beautiful and Nick loved playing with the water sprinklers! Water is actually pronounced "yaya".......he says things sometimes and I know he is trying to tell me something but I can't understand a word he is saying!

This was call Horsetooth Reservoir.....there are actually a lot of lakes and ponds throughout Fort Collins. I thought this one was really neat because it was tucked away in the mountains!

I can't remember the name of this neighborhood park but it was very new and no one was there so we took advantage of it and ran around everywhere!
